This site used to be a space dedicated to my news producing class at the Missouri School of Journalism and KOMU-TV. As I transition to my new position with Patch.com (see resume), I will be adding new content and blogging about new things. This site will be about my activities as a journalist navigating the world of hyper local news, a place where I will blog and share interesting information and resources.
The other major part of my life is fiction writing, so I will likely be blogging about that and sharing some of my work as well. I recently learned that a literary journal in Florida will public one of my short stories! So, stand by for more information about that.
I also travel a lot, so I will post photos for my journeys, whether to the next town or the other side of the earth.

You may know me as a journalism professor, a national board member of the Society of Professional Journalists, a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, the daughter of Zee and Al Edgell or the sister of Randall Edgell, MD.
